BUILT IN 1939 BY THE SCOTTISH ARCHITECT WILLIAM BINNIE, THE HOTEL PHOENICIA IS THE OLDEST AND PERHAPS MOST GLAMOROUS FIVE STAR HOTEL IN MALTA. 

 

Conveniently located at the entrance of the historical capital of Valletta, this cosmopolitan hotel enjoys uninterrupted views over the city. Surrounded by established gardens and renowned landmarks, a sense of regal glamour pervades. This grand old lady has 136 guest bedrooms and suites, The Palm Court lounge, Club Bar, Phoenix Restaurant and the Phoenicia Café. There are four large meeting rooms, a ballroom for 800 guests with a large private dining room called the Maryanski Room spilling out on the luscious and extensive landscaping. The gardens lead down to the ‘Place of Arms’ and pool terrace with the newly created infinity pools with spectacular views over the Grand Harbour.  Much of the furniture featured in the refurbishment has been designed by Peter Young Design and fabricated locally in Malta. This refurbished hotel opened its doors Spring 2017. Peter Young have also been working on the new spa building sitting adjacent to the hotel which will be completed Summer 2020.
