WOOL HOUSE – THE CAMPAIGN FOR WOOL
Somerset House, exhibition and showcase of Britain’s finest wool products.
CELEBRATING THE BEAUTY, PRACTICALITY AND ENDLESS VERSATILITY
OF REAL WOOL.
Launched in 2010 by the Patron HRH The Prince of Wales, the Campaign for Wool united the international wool textile industry to promote real wool as the superior fibre for fashion, interiors and the built environment.
For this showcase at Somerset House, Mary Fox Linton and Peter Young were asked to design an elegant drawing room using the most luxurious wools available. We chose a colour palette of navy, soft blue and white which is classic and stylish, offset by copper accessories. The satin weave lends a subtle beautiful sheen and the boucle wool on the armchair is reminiscent of a Chanel suit. Simple detailing is all that is needed.
